Tactical Contracting was founded in 2016 with a straightforward goal: to raise the standard for what clients should expect from their builder. Based in Middle Tennessee, we provide residential and commercial construction with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and attention to detail.
From custom homes and garages to outdoor living spaces and commercial projects, we bring the same level of planning and accountability to every build. Cam Powell
CEO
Cam is a licensed commercial and residential builder serving Middle Tennessee.
His licenses include:
-BC A/B (Commercial and Residential)
– Septic
-MU (Municipal utility and underground piping)
– Water and Sewer Systems
– Grading and drainage
– Base and Paving
Cam started Tactical Contracting with the vision of being a prime builder in the Middle Tennessee area with a focus on quality and integrity. With 2 decades of experience, his knowledge and expertise gives clients peace of mind that they will be taken care of and treated fairly.
Cam served in the Army as a military police officer and generator mechanic over a 10 year enlistment, and enjoys working and serving his active military and veteran community.

Tessa Powell
Operations Manager
Tessa brings extensive experience in business operations, strategic leadership, compliance, process improvement, and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has partnered with executives and business leaders to strengthen operations, improve internal systems, manage complex projects, and create practical solutions that support sustainable growth.
Tessa graduated from AIU with a degree in Business Management and HR. As Operations Manager, Tessa oversees the company’s day-to-day business functions, process development, customer experience, administrative systems, and strategic initiatives
Known for her strategic mindset and hands-on approach, Tessa is passionate about building efficient operations that allow the company, its employees, and its customers to thrive.
About The Owner
Cam grew up in south Louisiana, spending his early years on his grandfathers dairy farm. His father's family were Mennonite and his mothers were Baptist. He grew up in church and learned from an early age, the principles of a good life and the fruitfulness of hard work. He started building barns at 14 and from there went on to working in several different trades throughout his young adult life. From operating heavy equipment to building large custom homes and commercial buildings, he is backed by a vast array of professional experience which aids in the success of his company . Cam is a military veteran and family man, who enjoys spending his free time on their family ranch with his wife, three sons, and their horses.
